I was talking with a friend yesterday who is walking through some very hard things. I said, “I’ve always wondered how people survived things like pandemics and wars and, well, I guess now we know. You just keep living one day at a time.”
Here are some pictures from January and February of living life in the middle of the hard. I hope they bring some joy!
Sometimes we like the snow; sometimes we don’t.
My son created this DIY drum set this past weekend.
The landscape here always has me in awe.
I read a little. Not pictured is The Madness of Crowds by Louise Penny.
Dog Man.
We took a trip to Ikea to get frames for the upcoming art show.
There were a few days with sunshine!
My sweet mama had a birthday and we got her this lovely hymn tea towel made by Little Things Studio.
And I painted and cut paper and created fun things. Here’s a little preview. These will be at the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum at JMU in town for the months of March and April.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
