Recently, I have been listening to a podcast called the Bible Project. It’s actually a whole organization dedicated to showing–through amazingly creative videos, blog posts, and free classes–how the whole Bible is “a unified story that leads to Jesus.”
Yesterday I was listening to the episodes that preview a class they offer on the book of Jonah. The episodes I listened to were not as much about Jonah’s story, as they were about how the Scriptures are all telling one story over and over–a story fulfilled in Jesus.
The teacher, Tim Mackie, was explaining that Luke 24:44 is Jesus’ summary of what the whole of Scriptures are about–HIMSELF.
It reminds me of these words of Jesus from John 5:39-40: “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life” (ESV).
I was inspired by all that I learned, and this is the image that I was thinking of this morning. I thought I’d draw it out on my Ipad and share it with you as a coloring page. I haven’t done that in a while, and it was so much fun for me.
Also, I definitely recommend the podcast and videos!
You can download the coloring pages by clicking on the images below. I made one blank version if you want to use it in another language.
